Today I bring you my review of one of the Tarte products that I mentioned in my Sephora recommendations post

Here are the details of Tarte Drink of H2O Moisturizer taken from the Sephora website:

What it is:
A refreshing, lightweight gel moisturizer to help moisturize dry, dehydrated skin.

What it is formulated to do:
Treat skin to this skin-quenching water gel. Powered by hyaluronic acid and tarte’s exclusive Rainforest of the Sea™ antioxidant complex, this cooling gel moisturizer helps restore skin’s natural hydration for skin that’s fortified, refreshed, and healthier-looking. The lightweight moisturizer absorbs into skin, leaving no oily or greasy feel behind, while powerful marine antioxidants help skin defend itself from everyday aggressors. Its skin-balancing properties support antiaging, and it helps boost the appearance of firmness, tone, and vitality over time.

What it is formulated WITHOUT:
– Parabens
– Phthalates

What else you need to know:
This product is hypoallergenic and dermatologist-tested.

Suggested Usage:
-Apply evenly all over the face and neck after cleansing.
-For best results, apply twice a day in the morning and at night.

Water, Butylene Glycol, Dimethicone, Glycerin, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Squalane, Phenoxyethanol, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, Polysorbate 60, Caprylyl Glycol, Enteromorpha Compressa Extract, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Disodium EDTA, Propanediol, Sea Salt Extract, Hexylene Glycol, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Phospholipids, Stearoyl Inulin, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Hyaluronic Acid, Silanetriol, Limonene, Citric Acid, Sorbic Acid, Sodium Anisate, Sodium Levulinate, Linalool, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Tocopherol, Algae Extract, Gardenia Tahitensis Flower Extract, Blue 1 (CI 42090).

I started using Tarte Drink of H2O over the winter when my combination skin was super dry and I received a deluxe sample with one of my Sephora orders. I was in the middle of a dry skin crisis with flaky white patches around my mouth and chin. I used this that night before bed and when I woke up there was no flakiness! Needless to say, I was sold and I have been using it everyday since. This moisturizer actually prompted me to throw out all of the other ones that I had been using. Drink of H2O is somehow lightweight but comforting and extremely moisturizing at the same time. It is unlike any other moisturizer I have tried. I usually apply skincare with a damp beauty sponge because I feel like sticking fingers into jars of products is unsanitary and Drink of H2O applies well using that method.

My main critique with Drink of H2O is that it is quite expensive for the amount of uses you get from one jar but I compensate for that by stocking up whenever there is a sale and by using Ebates.

What is your favorite moisturizer? Do you have any that I must try?
