Beautylish Haul: Skincare Featuring The Ordinary

I have a bit of a different post for you all today. I am sharing my order from Beautylish of skincare products mostly from the brand The Ordinary. If you have not heard of The Ordinary they are a “bare bones” skincare company that is super affordable. There has been a lot of hype about their products lately so I am super excited to try them out.

The Ordinary

My order included a pamphlet about each of the products which is super helpful in deciding what order to use the products in. Here is what I purchased:

The Ordinary

  • BIODERMA Atoderm Lips Trio $9.90–I am super picky about lip balm and this one is my holy grail. If you are having trouble finding a favorite I recommend giving this one a try. Official description: Bioderma’s Atoderm Baume Lèvres (Lip Balm) is a repairing, nourishing and soothing treatment that restores dry, chapped lips. Its formula contains nourishing active ingredients such as avocado oil and shea butter that work to biologically repair and regenerate weakened lips.

  • LUCAS’ PAPAW REMEDIES Lucas’ Papaw Ointment $12–I have never used this before but it has excellant reviews for irritated skin. I have sensitive skin that breaks out pretty easily so I hope this works on those areas. Official description: More than 100 years ago, Aussie doctor Thomas Lucas started making homeopathic remedies using the antibacterial, antimicrobial papaw fruit (aka Carica papaya)—this is one of his original products. It can do almost anything, from protecting skin against the elements and healing chapped lips and cuticles to diminishing blemishes and relieving eczema. And it’s also beloved by makeup artists, who keep a tube in their kits to use as a subtle highlighter or to add sheen lashes and brows.

Here is a closer look at the products I purchased from The Ordinary:

The Ordinary

  • THE ORDINARY. “Buffet” $14.80This seems to be a sort of super serum that can be used instead of layering a bunch of different products. The reviews on this one are awesome. Official description: “Buffet” is a water-based serum with an array of anti-aging technologies, including peptides, probiotics, amino acids, and more.
  • THE ORDINARY. Advanced Retinoid 2% $9.80 No anti-aging routine can be complete without a retinoid. Official description: Advanced Retinoid 2% is a water-based serum with two next-generation retinoids.

  • THE ORDINARY. Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% $7.90— I am hoping this works wonders on my texture and breakouts. Official description: Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% is a lightweight cream-gel with azelaic acid.

  • THE ORDINARY. Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA $5.80— I think this will be a good daytime moisturizer. Official description: Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA is a non-greasy moisturizer with special hydrating compounds that are found naturally in healthy skin.

  • THE ORDINARY. High-Adherence Silicone Primer $4.90— I love silicone primers so for this price I have to try it! Official description: High-Adherence Silicone Primer is a mattifying and blurring primer with advanced adaptive silicones.
