Christophe Robin Cleansing Purifying Scrub with Sea Salt Review

Hi guys! Today I have a review of Christophe Robin Cleansing Purifying Scrub with Sea Salt that I received in my May Sephora Play Subscription Box. When I first opened the package I thought that it was a body scrub because of the name but when I looked closer I realized that it was a scalp scrub which intrigued me.

Here is the official product description:

Which hair type is it good for? ✔ Straight ✔ Wavy ✔ Curly ✔ Coiled ✔ Tightly Coiled What it is: A detoxifying shampoo enriched with sea salt to deeply cleanse and soothe sensitive and/or oily scalps while delivering essential hydration to the scalp. Key benefits: – Soothes the scalp – Removes product and sebum buildup – Relieves itchiness If you want to know more… This purifying, moisturizing, and soothing scrub is the ideal detox treatment to remove product buildup and rebalance sensitive or oily scalps. It can also be used as a post-coloring treatment to relieve itchiness and remove chemical residues left on the scalp. Its original formula contains sea salta natural exfoliantwhich eliminates impurities and supports natural blood circulation. The paste is enriched with a 100 percent plant-derived agent, which offers deep and long-lasting hydration to the scalp even after rinsing, leaving it soothed, rebalanced, and healthy. What it is formulated WITHOUT: – Parabens – Phthalates

I have used a scalp exfoliant before and I remember it being fairly hard to rinse out and it was not an exfoliant and shampoo in one. You used it before you shampooed as a pre treatment of sorts. When I saw that Christophe Robin Cleansing Purifying Scrub with Sea Salt was also a shampoo I knew I wanted to try it because who wants to add another step to their routine?

My scalp has been a mess lately. I have been bouncing back and forth between clarifying shampoo trying to eliminate build up and cleansing conditioners so my color doesn’t fade so quickly. For reference I have a pixie undercut that is currently teal and purple and my scalp is usually on the dry side. I normally wash my hair 1-2 times a week depending on condition and activity level.

I will admit that when I saw the price tag ($53.00) for a full size of Christophe Robin Cleansing Purifying Scrub with Sea Salt I was a little taken aback. Then I thought about how since my hair is short I do not need to use much at a time. I have used the deluxe sample 3-4 times now and barely put a dent in it.

The first time I used it I immediately noticed how clean my hair and scalp felt. It also felt really nice massaging it into my scalp. I feel like this has tremendously helped my scalp condition and I will definitely be purchasing the full size.

The only negative that I have noticed about Christophe Robin Cleansing Purifying Scrub with Sea Salt so far is that I feel like my color fades faster than with cleansing conditioner but I think that is to be expected and the trade off is worth it to me.
